Inktrend was built many years ago by a person who lacked inspiration for his own tattoo and wanted to help others in the same situation. The primary purpose was simple; to be able to get inspiration for a tattoo. Where Inktrend stands out is that you can sort by which style you want as well as where on the body you want your tattoo. Many similar websites show only a specific style, but if you want to. To get a tattoo with writing on your arm, you most likely want to see text tattoos on your arm rather than anywhere else on the body.

The site has a lot of features including creating a profile and sharing tattoos, a forum, a blog as well as a nice design in "night mode". The reason for this was that the creator felt that they typically looked for inspiration for this in the evening. The time has changed since 8 years ago when the site was launched. Now the day/night feature has become a certain standard, but at that time the site was recognized for this particular look.

Inktrend never got the right kick start as the creator lost interest because he didn't have the funds or knowledge to make the site popular. We took over the site and let it grow slowly, but it never got the credit it deserved. The site's price is incredibly low as this is a good foundation for the right person who wants to continue the project - but until then we see it as one of our standby projects that doesn't receive a lot of resources.
